Freddie Ashley-Sparks Joins the Solo Sports / arena UK Athlete Team
22nd January 2026->
Solo Sports / arena UK are proud to announce Freddie Ashley-Sparks as the latest athlete to be supported with high-spec race suits and goggles from one of the world’s leading competitive swimming brands, arena.
The 23-year-old, who trains at Wycombe District Swimming Club, has enjoyed a tremendous rise over the past 18 months, making significant improvements in his signature 200m and 400m freestyle events. That progress has been reflected on the podium, with Freddie securing medals at the Aquatics GB NEXT GEN Championships in July 2025, followed by further success at both the Swim England Winter Meet and the Welsh Winter Championships in December 2025.
Freddie’s trajectory in the sport continues to climb. With strong national performances already under his belt, including medals at the British Summer Nationals and relay success across multiple seasons, his sights are now firmly set on 2026, where qualification for the Commonwealth Games and European Championships is the ultimate goal.
Solo Sports / arena UK are delighted that Freddie has chosen to race in arena suits and goggles, and we’re excited to support him as he pushes towards these major international ambitions. We’re proud to be working with an athlete who represents the highest levels of commitment, performance, and potential within British swimming.
